All pieces move like rooks in chess, horizontally or vertically any number of squares, but cannot jump over other pieces. Captures occur through a pincer movement, sandwiching an opponent's piece between two of your pieces or between your piece and an empty Throne. The king can only occupy the Throne and is vulnerable to capture. Defenders win by moving the king to a board edge or corner fortress, while attackers win by surrounding and capturing the king.
